The cover is inlaid over a roiro ground sprinkled with silver filings with a Shinto priest approaching a torii, the man’s robes of raden inlay with relief lines in gold takamakie, the gate in pewter which wraps around onto the side of the box. The interior is lacquered a deep red with fundame rims, the underside of the cover with hinoki standing close to a stream in inlaid raden and pewter with fundame takamakie.
